The Passion for Writing

Monde was a beautiful grade 10 young lady who lived with her father for many years after a devastating passing of her mother. They both lived in a village called Mukawa in the Masokotwane district. Monde was a happy and active young lady. Most of her days were spent in her room after school since her father was a taxi driver, transporting passengers from the village to town and back! They did not have much money but were content with what they had. Behind her happy  face, Monde faced challenges in her life. She complained of missing her mother most of the time. At times she would cry and talk to her self but never helped much. This made her marks drop drastically in school. Sometimes her father would not even notice when she skipped classes.

She complained this to her father but he was too busy to sit down and talk. He was getting busier than usual. Normally they would sit In the evening around the fire talking about life. Monde noticed the sudden change in her father. With the devastation of Her not having anyone to talk to made it worse. She later decided to start writing about her feelings and emotions depending on her mood for the day! She discovered that it was even better than talking to someone, Monde spend most of her free time in her room busy writing about how her day is or was. One day her father remembered that his daughter once needed his advice, he called her out of her room to find out what kind of advice she needed some days ago. Monde looked at her father and lied to him that it was not an advice rather a homework and assured him that she managed on her own. Her father apologized for attending to her request so late. To this day, Monde has developed a passion for writing, she has started creating her own stories and poems, mostly about tragedy and love.
